You know, a lot of PS3 games are mostly FPS, 3rd Person shooters or sports titles. Rarely have you seen a title that caught your eye. However, what about having to lead and train an army of misfits and weirdos by yourself? At the same time, you're upgrading stuff as well?

That's what [b]Valkyria Chronicles[/b] is all about.

Valkyria Chronicles, made and published by Sega, stars [b]Welkin Gunther[/b], an aloft, kind man who is infatuated with nature. (Trust me, if he could bang a plant he would... okay, too far) Upon his return to his hometown of Bruhl, he realizes that the townspeople are evacuating, getting away from the Imperial forces. Trying to draw/sketch a picture of a fish (since that's what all nature-loving people do on their return home, no?), he gets held up at gunpoint by the Town Patrol, led by [b]Alicia Melchiott[/b], who then later meets Welkin's sister, [b]Isara Gunther[/b], a [b][i]Darcsen[/i][/b] (remember this, kids).

Immediately at the start of the game you are thrust into action with your first EVER Valkyria Chronicles skirmish. You select a unit, you run into action, you shoot people, and you run for cover to avoid getting shot at. Simple, right?

Well not unless the AI is fucking mean <_<

And trust me, this was meant for those who are at least 13 and up.

At the start of the game, you go through a tutorial about shooting, running for cover and all that jazz. It sounds easy at first since you only have about 3 units, but you better learn quick, or else the learning curve of this game will bite you in the ass. Once you have an entire army to control, good friggin' luck if you haven't figured out the tutorials.

As the story progresses, we're greeted with some of Gallia's finest men and women, including [b]Largo Potter[/b], an anti-tank lancer unit infantryman, [b]Bridgette Stark AKA Rosie[/b], a shocktrooper (No, it's not those guys with the electricity <_<) and [b]Eleanor Varrot[/b], the Captain of the ENTIRE FREAKING PLATOON. Wow, I thought women in the army didn't have positions of power anymore. COOL!

Along the way they meet an interesting character in Irene Ellet, who is later known as (SPOILER SPACE HERE). She follows Squad 7 on their exploits of stopping the Empire from taking over the entire country and destroying the Gallians for good. Of course, with the lovely general [b]Selvaria Bles, Commander Jaeger, some old guy who dies later[/b] and led by [b]Lord Maximillian[/b], who loves to say WE instead of HE. Probably referring to his entire lineage, which is just stupid to be honest.

Now let's talk about the rest of the gameplay. When you get your army, you have a lot of options. Recruiting, Training and Skirmishes are probably the ones you're going to be clicking on a LOT. Recruits change every chapter, training gets a lot harder and skirmishes are fairly easy if you know what you're doing.

As far as story missions go, all you have to do is finish the mission and you go on, right? Well, if you don't kill every single soldier out there, you will get less EXP and money that you need to train and upgrade your soldiers. Trust me, in the later chapters, you NEED these upgrades. Or else you will receive HELL. On both sides.

Along the way, we learn of two things. One, Lord Maximillian's intentions, and two, Selvaria is a Valkyria, capable of destroying, well, ANYTHING. And if you see her on the field, warning, RUN. There is no TELLING what she can do to you and your troops.

Movement in the game is determined by AP, Action Points. And the amount of AP is determined by class. Scouts have more AP, since they run fast but their damage sucks. Shocktroopers and Engineers have half of what Scouts have, Lancers have slightly less than Shocktroopers and Snipers have a lot less than Lancers. You can pretty much roam freely and shoot people in a turn-based/free-roam style RPG. Running and field interaction is a MUST in this game.

Now the one thing that has irked me in this game so much. ENEMY SNIPERS. Forget the fact that they'll still shoot you from 100 miles away, but they are so accurate it makes grown men cry for mercy from these guys. I had to RETRY some missions because apparently these snipers are dicks and blew away my main people.

Overall, there's nothing too bad about this game, but the fact it can get real hard in a hurry will leave you wondering whether you're enough of a man (or woman) to pick up this game. But you really should. It has a fun DLC pack to try, including playing as the ENEMY for once. And it'll keep you entertained a whole lot with it's good graphics, music and other things.

and her mother's agility. These three form a formidable family, and no one wants to get in their way.

As a child, Isara was kidnapped by thieves. She cried for hours after being trapped in a box, before Ky and Senna saved
her. The aftereffects of the event led her to being claustrophobic. There was no way to fix it, as it was a scarring event
in her life.

Her battle record is impressive. She's defeated every Crusader and nearly every Specter. She has not defeated her mother,
R. Red Arc, C. Red Arc and Shuma Gorath.

Thanks to Sora's intervention, Isara possesses the Eight-Devil Rune, a rune that allows the bearer to create clones of
his/herself for any purpose, in exchange for the bearer's energy and lifeforce. The upside is that she can use it any time
she wants. The downside? She will lose more energy the more she uses it.

She is currently being trained by the Specter's Shuma Gorath and Kunagi Tenrou to completely control her Eight Devil Rune
power... and she did meet Rukawa. ONCE. :3

Two episodes of it and ALREADY I'm sick of the theme song. Yes PreCure 5's theme song didn't annoy me until episode 28 or so. But Fresh did the impossible by ANNOYING THE FUCK out of me with it's horrible ass theme song. Dang it get Mayuki Kodou back to sing the theme song.

Well anyways, I'm starting to fall for Miki already, since she's SO FREAKING HAWT. Love can go screw herself for all I care >_>. And Buki... well, who cares about her.

And I have to say, "Nasty things Nasty things go away." Is the WORST GOD DAMN LINE TO SA Y WHEN TRYING TO VANQUISH AN ENEMY! THAT'S A LOAD OF BULLSH------

And why am I getting Love and Berry vibes from Fresh >_>.

And Setsuna is automatically the most badass villain anime chick in the world. She makes Jinx from Teen Titans look like cake, i'll be honest.

SoraXNagisa Reviews: Melty Blood, EVERYTHING, including Actress Again

You know, I only started to like Melty Blood when I started Mugen, and back then when I was a noob, I was playing the scrubby Ciel, and the badass Red Arcueid. Now that I've come to terms with the characters, I just had to find some of the games linked to the series. I came across Tsukihime, which bored the hell out of me (Will write review of this later) and then came Melty Blood, the more fighter friendly game. Now that Actress Again, the latest in the series is out, I thought I might get something better than Act Cadenza was...

BOY. Was I completely mistaken. Actress Again was mediocre as hell, due to unnecessary nerfing and some 'Styles'. I'll get to these styles later.

The original MB trumps Melty Blood Actress Again due to it being plain, simple but otherwise fun. Actress Again only complicated things further after a set mindfuck that was Act Cadenza.

Melty Blood started out fun, with about 12-14 characters to choose from, and from what I've seen already, I have to say the characters are very interesting to say the least. This continued on with Act Cadenza, Final Tuned/ReAct and of course Actress Again, with added characters and the most awesome thing to hit video games now, CLONES. I love clones with a passion. AHEM. Anyway. The characters are interesting and some are quirky. Though i just wanna get something off my chest right now.

Sion Atlasia has the personality of a FLAGPOLE! I apologize to any Sion fans out there but she's about as interesting as a fuckin' teaspoon. The only reason people actually like her is because she has a short skirt and the people who draw fanart of her usually put her with bigger cleavage or better yet, a bigger ass. And please tell me what the hell's going on with Satsuki? She's dead, Tatari-fied, and then paired with Sion which spawned the biggest love couple next to Arcueid/Tohno.

And PLEASE don't get me started on Arcueid. She is everything a character SHOULDN'T BE. They were right when they called her a Mary-Sue.

In all fairness the people most fun to play as were the Shikis, and Akiha Vermilion, but I have to tell you I had fun playing as them and not having to spam the goddamned light punch button all day!

Now came Actress Again, adding two new characters and also a couple of new awesome stages and some new music. Of course, some old favorites were back, like White Len's snow stage, that's back.

It also introduced a style system. This is the part of the game where I really didn't like it that much. Half-moon style was unfair due to the fact that getting hit once during Heat mode not only circuit sparks you but it also recovers health... what the hell? What's worst is that you can't charge it nor can you heat if your bar isn't full, full being 200% in this case by the way.

Full Moon style is the worst. Magic Circuit is at 300%, but you can't use heat, if it's not full. It's chargeable but it's slow sometimes.

Each 'Style' gives everyone a different moveset. I say... what the hell were you thinking?

All in all, not even Riesbyfe Stridberg, who is a Tatari by the way spoiler, can save this game from how horrible it is. Stick to Act Cadenza unless you wanna play as her or Roa.

And good luck trying to follow the story properly, because every game seems to blow your theory out of existence.

THREE WORDS WHY I HAVEN'T BEEN UPDATING:

SCHOOL, LIFE, AND YOUTUBE

Yes apparently school is eating into the free time that i used to have @_@ I'm getting classes up to 6 pm, and what's worst is that i won't be online on Friday because i have to go for some dipshit event for my CCA @_@ that ends at 11 pm. WHY!!!

Well it's week 5 coming into Week 6, and i am already feeling stressed out from the bullshit that's happening in my school. Boolean equations are HURTING MY FUCKING BRAIN OUT! HOLY SWEET SHIT. GAH i wish i could show you how frustrating it is to cope with school but i'll just stop here.

Speaking of which, my classmates are real, complete, utter, assholes. Well it's been like that since Primary School so why bother? Just shut up and do what you want. I ain't helping you with the programming parts though because that's now your fucking problem (YEAH insult me more, stupid!)

Well, my youtube life's been going great, 388 subscribers nearing my 300th video... sigh I FEEL LIKE QUITTING. GEEZ. I'm really tired of all the bullshit that happens on there... i just wanna leave and continue my life but i don't want to... gaah my head's hurting from the ice cream...

Seriously, i have lost all interest in it.

This is what i seriously believe to be the BEST Brawl Tracks in all history of Super Smash Bros, SO, LET'S GET TO IT!

1) S06 - Metal Gear Solid 4 Love Theme - I don't know, but i love it when people fight to this track. I can imagine the Dark PreCure 5 fighting the original PreCure 5 to this track, or Nanoha fighting Fate to this track. It's just so darn epic i don't know what to say o.o
Score: 9/10

2) F05 - Kirby Superstar - Gourmet Race - They epicified my favorite tune from Kirby Superstar and rocked it out! I can SO imagine Kirby running against Dedede to this song. EPICIFIED!!

3) I01 - F-Zero - Mute City - I'm sorry, but i'm just too big of a fan of F-Zero to pass up this song. Now i can see why Captain Falcon's so damn popular. Not only for the Falcon Paaaunch but also for the music as well!

I thought School Days characters were downright sick and wrong... but this is just MADNESS!

Well... a bit of an update from me. Next week i'm headed for an Orientation at school. SO i'm starting school in less than 2 weeks, which means i have to push my playthroughs to completion ASAP. So far SMB Quest 2 is 6 worlds down 2 to go, and i need to do Kirby's Dreamland after that.

And for some reason, i don't like fighting as Pit in Brawl.... again, i'm all Snake. I've gotten obsessed with him, Captain Falcon, Ike and Kirby... more obsessed on Snake. But who knows? I might have Olimar too!

Well, i'm waiting on an update on Magical Battle Arena >.< yes i wanna play that game! I WANT TO FIGHT NANOHA WITH FATE-CHAN!! And kick Sakura's ass while we're at it o.o i should get shot for that.

I'm amazed i missed out on about 2 months of andrusi's work on Somewhat Cure... must be from YouTube Euphoria eheheh. Well, the only reason i haven't made any progress on my fics or reviews was because i've been doing a lot of stuff on my channel (SoraXNagisa) and i haven't found much time to do them. Who knows, maybe when i go to school i'll finally stop making videos and start doing all these crazy fics and reviews!

Also, i'm investing in a headset microphone for my own uses (because people keep bitching and moaning that i don't do commentary blah blah blah) I don't even sound half as good as Cloud8745, or mippa for that matter (if she ever did her own playthrough videos) But hey, at least i can keep my dream alive for my very own podcast hehe...

Well, playing Brawl at my friend's house, it was FUN as all hell. Ike, Snake and Marth are all my specialties atm, but right now, i'm trying my BEST to be familiar with Kirby and Sonic, ESPECIALLY Sonic. That guy is WAAAY too fast for his own good @_@ i can't even pull a combo without him falling off the damn screen. I've always been bad at Sonic games, and now i actually suck as Sonic @_@

Kirby, however, is really, really hard to use, the fact that most of his moves are all up close and personal. but i still love the sword. The sword technique is kinda like Ike's only this one has a bit of a shockwave, so Kirby would definitely be my 4th favorite character by far.

Snake, i own as him. The far shooting trap specialist, that's what i call him. I lay mines like there's no tomorrow lol.

Well i'm almost about done with Subspace Emissary Co-op with my friend. I just wished that he didn't die so much lol. But i gotta tell you, the cutscenes were all fun as usual, especially when we have to be the ones to dub the damn scene because they don't talk at all lol. Well, that's what happens when there's a story mode with no words. Except for Snake who actually had a line in there that said 'Kept you waiting, huh?' Yes i'm a Snake fanboy shut up lol.

Demyx/Sora rants: Super Smash Bros Brawl and Its Wi-Fi

Okay, i tried Super Smash Bros Brawl at my friend's house this week, and i gotta tell you, it was pretty good, considering the fact that my friend had everyone unlocked (and me being the Snake Fanboy that I am, i was so god damn happy XDD) So we played, we brawled, we laughed, we cried, we screamed, we died... (ignore that last part)

So i tried getting online, and to my surprise, IT DOESN'T FUCKING WORK. The 'With Friends' option works just fine, but the 'With Anyone' option just plain sucks. I waited at least 25 minutes for the match to begin and THEN they tell me that i got disconnected. WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THAT?! I got so pissed i almost threw my friend's Wii-mote out the window, but lucky i didn't.

So, i gave up the Wi-Fi and went on to Subspace Emissary, and let me tell you, it was FUN. FUN as all hell.

SO, moral of the story is: Nintendo can't run a fucking internet connection to save their lives.

It's really funny, even with the appearance of people such as Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kevin Nash, The Great Khali and Burt Reynolds.

2) Goal! - A heartwarming story of a boy who wants to fulfill his dreams of being a professional soccer player, even if he doesn't get his father's approval. An up-and-down rollercoaster ride ensues for Santiago Munez as he tries to make it big in England. Features stars such as Zinedine Zidane, David Beckham and Steven Gerrard.

1) Gridiron Gang - A tale of an ex-football player turned supervisor of a prison football team who makes a football team out of the prisoners. Even if they don't comply, he tries to make them believe that they are all winners and losers. This movie is really good, and is very moving to me. Stars Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Xzibit.

(this is being typed on my mom's ultra laggy laptop LOL)

WELL... my computer is doing wacky things to me. It seems that sometimes it starts up normally, and sometimes it likes being a bitch and not start up at all. It seems that this time, it just plain won't start up. I don't know what measures my dad or my bro are gonna take to fix it, but sure as hell i can't make videos for now. SO, i'm taking a break from YouTube until things get fixed.

The way i see things 2 possible scenarios can happen:

1) The computer gets fixed when i send it to the shop for repairs, but i MAY lose everything that's in there. That means, i lose my SnagIt, i lose all my games, my saves, my music, EVERYTHING. WHICH MEANS:

I have to re-do Megamari (which i don't mind)
I have to re-do I Wanna Be The Guy (also don't mind)
I have to re-do Sonic Advanced 3
I have to get the product key for the SnagIt AGAIN...
I have to get Windows Service Pack 2 so that Windows Movie Maker doesn't fuck up.

2) I get a new laptop, BUT it could be a Vista when i get it. I'll see if i can work it so that i can get Windows XP on it. SO, everything COULD be back to normal, except i have to start ALL OVER AGAIN.

So, yeah, i'm out of action for now, OR unless my computer will miraculously start up again (if it does i'll have to mass record everything) So you won't see my name much anymore.

This is a plus for me because i now have time to do other things, like writing fanfiction on my mom's laptop, and actually getting ready for me to be enrolled into my new school in 2 months time.

Also, it now gives me an excuse to watch anime @_@ so yeah you won't see me for some time.

But i promise you i WILL return. OH YES i will.

The next person who calls my name will get a very fucking fierce backlash from me! I'VE HAD IT UP TO HERE WITH PEOPLE CALLING MY NAME AND DOING ALL THEIR SHIT FOR THEM!!

Apparently, every single member in my family are all lazy jackoffs with nothing to do but order people around. When people ask them to do something, they use WORK as an excuse not to do any housework.

I think some of you on Livejournal know that i'm a guy, right? RIGHT?

Well on YouTube however people still think that i'm a girl even after i posted a picture of myself in the 40 subscriber tribute video that i did. Now i don't know why, but that's just so wrong for some reason.

WOW... so much shit went down yesterday i have to talk about it.

Right, first thing is, my computer is having problems. Last night it wouldn't switch on, but this morning, it switched on again. O.O Paradox dude.

Is it just me or am i slowly getting addicted to Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha? I mean it's not on the same level as Pretty Cure is but it's really starting to get to me. Nanoha-san!! She is so kawaii (well not as kawaii as Katsura Kotonoha but you get the idea LOL)

I don't know how much i've missed PreCure 5 Go Go already, I've only watched episode 2 and i've been so busy recording all my gameplay and uploading on youtube that i can't really be bothered to do so. Also, my youtube channel is full of surprises so SUBSCRIBE IF YOU WANT TO LOL (SoraXNagisa's channel)

Well i'll probably get a new laptop by next week or the next 2 weeks depending on my mom's budget. When i DO get one, i'll work on getting a better headset microphone so that i can record my voice during gameplay blah blah blah and all that. But i'm more interested in this little thing known as a PreCure Podcast where people listen in on some PreCure Updates, randomness, skits, and possibly some fandubs. I want to make Podcasts in future so i really hope things go well.

OK, to honestly speak, i'm following this season of American Idol, and i'm supporting David Archuleta, the 17-year old. He's a good singer, and he's awesome. Those of you in America PLEASE vote for David Archuleta! He's an awesome singer.

But, i'm not here to talk about this season per se. I'm here to talk about THE CASH IN that Konami has put into American Idol. It insults me as a general gamer to see THIS KIND OF THING ON THE SHELVES:

WHO IN THEIR RIGHTFUL MIND WOULD PLAY A GAME LIKE THIS?!

It's really insulting to see things like this... in the good old NES days people still enjoyed games but now it's just for money now.
